My first gun has been also confiscated.

For one we'd be a bit safer about nukes, we'd have a lot less violence and many third world countries would be good if we never got them caught in a cross fire. Our troops wouldnt have been in Iraq and quite a few of my family would still be alive.jrrdw wrote:"that a lot of people apoligised"
Who are these people?
Where were you?
By the way -- "I'd say america's politics and downright thinking theyre the superior race (no offence its not all of yas)"
If it wasn't for America's goverment, all the charity we give out ALL OVER THE WORLD, wouldn't get there! Imagine for one moment if we said to hell with giving all the help we do. What would happen to all those we feed, give medical care to, and protect? What would happen to those people?
-spudgunning is like sex, once you've tasted, you can't wait til next time.
that is completly true. wanna know the reason oil companies get away with price gouging? because all the politicians are making big bucks from the oil companies!Slugfoot wrote:Don't take this the wrong way, but, the States (and, admittedly, others) only ever seems to step in and help when there's oil or money involved.
Example:- Stepping in during the second world war. These services weren't offered for free....we've only just managed recently to pay off the debt we owed for the USA's intervention.
Another example could be Tibet. The Dalhi Lama (probably the most peacable person in the world) has been begging for assistance ever since the Chinese invaded in the 1950's. During this time the Chinese have killed something like 2 million people and displaced about 6 million. Tibet has no real resources and therefore this tragedy has been completely ignored by the west.
I think it a fallacy to say that the USA is the champion of the underdog. They pick thier fights far too carefully and won't get involved in anything that doesn't benefit thier economy.
........ I find that disturbing.
Complete bullshit. Go tell that to the Iraqi kids walking knee-deep in raw sewage. We rebuild what we destroy during war time, and it's better then we found it when we leave.
Did I say you got it for free?I hope you realize the oil we get from other countries isn't free at all,
No, not really. If anything our freedoms have greatly diminished. Free speech is fast becoming a thing of the past here. (I don't blame America for this. It's true, we probably would have lost the war without American interventoin. But, like I said, these services were not provided for free.) We now live in a surveillance society. There is one security camera for every 14 people here. The average person can expect to be filmed/photographed upwards of 200 times per day. One also has to be very careful about what you say publicly (about, for example, Islam) lest you be sued or jailed.About the second world war, do you still live and speak freely in your native country?
