Wrinkled ductape on piston

Is the fill port allways on? Looks like it from the pic. That would stop it from working. My piston did the same basic thing. A sv did the trick for me, and by most member standerds i have a huge pilot chamber.

Alright, this is going to sound pretty stupid here, but
A) What's the fill port?
B) What's a sv?
Sorry for ignorance, but it didn't show up on the wiki, and I'm a bit unfamiliar with all the technical terms.

What he's saying is that if your air supply is still open, then when you open your pilot valve it won't work. Your pilot volume is a little large with all those reudcters but still, the piston seems a tight enough fir, technically it should be working.

SV= Sprinkler Valve

A shrader valve is a different style fill port.

If your useing a quick disconnent to attach you air supply you can place a brass ball valve inbetween your air hose and cannon, then after you fill close the ball valve and all should work.

I'm using a schrader valve connected to a bike pump to fill it, so I'm pretty sure that means that the fill port is always off. I might try incorporating a sprinkler valve on pilot to try to help preformance, but I'd prefer not to due to money and portabilito problems.

The sv should be in the very rearward possistion, the fill shoud be inbetween the piston and sv. Just incase there was any question about it. I think it will solve your problem.
Question: Why would the sv cause portabilito problems? Use a modded one, you can buy it that way from BcArms, or get your own and mod it yourself.

A sprinkler valve is a bit bigger than I'd like, but I'll try to use one when I get one. I still don't know why it won't work as it is though...

Pump it up then unscrew the tee the lines are hooked to. Unscrew it fast, put flour down the barrel so you know when/if it fires. If it fires when you unscrew the tee, then your problem was not piloting fast enough, if it don't fire then a sv wont help you. If your piston slides as fast/easy as you say i don't see why it wont fire with a sv. The pressure in the pilot chamber has to be low to fire, i've heard 2 to 3psi i think, so it's best to vent it really fast is key, via a modded sv.
