I have a customer of Ukranian descent (his father apparently came to Canada to escape persecution because he fought with the SS during WW2) and he was not at all happy about the flag hehe

True dat!! Yet these ignorant creatures speak of this matter as they were pros. That's why when facing the comments made on my posts on the PT airsoft form I'm constantly facepalming. If there's one thing I've learned about people who play airsoft and paintball, 90% of them do not have even a basic understanding of the physics involved.
Switch to a SS flaghe was not at all happy about the flag hehe

Is that a airsoft Sturmgewehr 44?? that's amazing!
Too bad the Wehrmacht wasn't equipped with it since the beginning.

Yes, yes it iswyz2285 wrote:Is that a airsoft Sturmgewehr 44?? that's amazing!
I don't think it would have made an iota of difference. Infantry rifles don't win wars, artillery and air power does. When you look at casualties of war, small arms are usually responsible for a surprisingly small percentage of combat deaths.Too bad the Wehrmacht wasn't equipped with it since the beginning.
This is why there is not much difference between the Stg44 used 70 years ago and modern assault rifles, while a modern aircraft or artillery piece is a world apart from a similar class of weapon from WW2.

Yeah if they had Messerschmitt Me 262 mass equipped since the beginning there would make some more significant differnceI don't think it would have made an lot of difference. The Nazis were horrible and everything, but their weapons and iconography were SO AWESOME, you can't help thinking it's a shame they didn't win....I'm failing to see how this would have been a good thing.
I remember having an amazing day visiting the IWM, which I ended with a tour of the holocaust exhibit they had on at the time which was one of the most depressing things I've ever seen. Hard not be moved by a glass column filled with children's shoes recovered from one of the camps.
Edit: Further to my point about artillery having come a long way since WWII, here's some more footage of Raytheon Excalibur testing.

Being able to hit a point target over 30km away with a single artillery shell is just unbelievable.

As can I, I thought my sarcasm was obvious. Oh internet...Gippeto wrote:I certainly can.
I'm pretty sure that with a bit of imagination and a modest budget, a private individual could land a payload on a GPS coordinate from many kilometres away, something which is pretty scary and I am surprised there hasn't been a major incident of this type reported.Where can I buy one?

The FBI has been going around to Hobby stores trying to collect info on customers who have purchased drones and/or have such skills as to create what you are speaking of. They obviously are surprised it hasn't happened yet either.
