this is kinda old but lightly stuffing balloons with a not very free flowing solution (compared to water or air) does not make a poping floury blast right its more like a fine grain mini sand bag or stress ball.
solution add air

as for your chrono I think that you may want to step back because expelling gases can create overly high inaccurate result

that looks like you just loaded the barrel with flour...

There was quite a bit of air in the baloon with the flour
