Not to be a spoilsport, but melting PVC will give off chlorine gas, carbon monoxide, and maybe a very small amount of phosgene gas. Chloroform decomposes slowly, when exposed to light, into phosgene gas. The chlorine gas is the main concern. It wouldn't be a lot, but it doesn't take much.
Besides the PVC, there are plasticizers, which is a whole nother can of worms when they decompose with heat. You guys are going to become autistic or turn into gel like Stephen Hawkings, or get too many bis Phenyl A's in your system and become transgender. bPa's act as estrogen and mess up your hormonal balance.
