Brilliant, we've often talked about using black powder barrels but I don't think anyone has ever implemented it before. Also being nice and long it takes full advantage of your large chamber.Petitlu wrote:I bought the barril with loading by the mouth at Dixiegun
Have you done any longer range accuracy tests shooting from distances of say 50 and 100 metres?
Did you notice a significant power drop when shooting without the disque de rupture?

You should try shooting resting the rifle on a bench, or in the prone position with a bipod or similar, to really get the most out of it in terms of accuracy.
I hope you're using hearing protection!
Have you taken it to the full 3000 psi?Petitlu wrote:Highly shootings with 200 bar!

He means you should put the projectile in the "culasse", not the "bouche", make it sort of "a culasse mobil"Petitlu wrote:"Your gun is dying for a breech load!"

"Ton fusil meure d'envie de se faire charger par la culasse."

You could make a breech load mechanism that is screwed to the barrel, without the need to modify it.
Tu pourrais faire un système de chargement par la culasse qui se visse sur le canon, sans avoir besoin de le modifier.

Ah, right. And the threads are flush with the hole? There's no shoulder? Care for a close-up photograph? I'm sure people here would provide plenty of ideas...
Ah d'accord. Et les filets sont au même niveau que le trou? Il n'y a pas d'épaulement? Pourrais-tu montrer une photo de détail? Je suis sur que les gens ici pourraient te donner plein d'idées...
