Shock pump question.

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

I am planning a gun, that would use a metal schrader valve. The entire thing is made out stainless steel, so it is rated for 500-1000 psi, but the only realistic way to get to 300 psi for me would be to get a shock pump. Do shock pumps fit schrader? Is there another, better way to get up to 300-500 psi without getting a bigass air compressor?

Yes they do fit Schrader, i'm not sure about any other way to pressurize to 300psi.
Jackssmirkingrevenge has mentioned that he can obtain just over 400psi with his shockpump and he uses Schraders, you should be fine.
Good luck with the gun too, and post pics ,when it's done :D

Most shock pumps either hook up to schrader valves or presta valves, and you usually have a choice. You could use regulated CO2, but that costs a lot more.

oooh stainless, you can stay lol jjk.

i have seen at moto-x stores shock pumps that have a gauge on them that goes to 450psi, im guessing they cost a bit more i i think would be werll worth the money.

great minds think alike, im in the stages of making a 400odd psi pellet gun, all stainlness to :D

cant wait to see the finished product.

Interesting to see what you guys come up with.

The best I had done with my HVBB launcher with 1 gram 0.22 pellets was around 650 feet per second. I discontinued the project after I got my Daystate that launches the same ammunition 250 feet per second faster and is more accurate than anything I could ever build.

He was referring to my commercial PCP

I fill it from a SCUBA tank that I get refilled from a dive shop. You can also fill it with a high pressure pump but they tend to be rather expensive and labour intensive.
