Basically, you drill a hole and follow it with a special thread cutter called a tap. Obviously the hole needs to be the proper size for any particular threaded hole.

Do I want to drill and tap through just the PVC tube, or go through the tube, and a fitting aswell?

i just posted on UKSGC but i'll post here too

as far as i know, paintball tank threads are 3/8 NPT so you need an adapter (i linked on UKSGC) but...

If you have an engineering plastic like delrin then try that. Brass is an easy one, you could also try aluminum as it is a bit soft. Remember the 1/2...
