It sounds good but I would recommend buying at a local Lows or something if you can. If you cant find it locally then buy it.

No it is not! Make your own!

Unless that is absolutely impossible for you to build your own, WHICH IT NEVER IS

then I would say, suck it up and build something that is all your own, its always better that way :)

I live in England, and in England you can't get sprinkler valves, and plus everything is metric.

My friend you shoudl look around, many great spudders including ragnarok are located in england. They still find parts. I on the other hand live in switzerland were i can buy a ball valve for about 25£. I have made every valve my self that ever when on to one of my guns besides my sharder valves and all from nothing more than epoxy, O-rings and different sizes of metal pipe. I think you have acsess to these things, if you need help with building a valve i am happy to help out, oh and i suggest a hammer valve as you first self built valve as it is simple to build and not quite as fiddely as piston valves, which are also pretty simple valves.

Then its not a good buy because you will have to get it shipped over and it could get stopped by customs

In the UK you will be better making a copper cannon with a QEV valve, head over to uksgc.co.uk for materials help.

In the UK, because sprinkler valve are so hard to get hold of, we tend to go for QEVs which are small diameter powerful valves, or homemade valves.
PVC is slightly more expensive than in the US, but that absolutely doesn't rule it out. (Usually about £1/m more)

A ball valve is of course a possibility, and is absolutely fine for a beginner cannon.
It will set you back about £30 if you know where to look, and you might not have the same power as a sprinkler or QEV cannon, but I guarantee, if it's your first cannon you'll be impressed!
