The telescoping tubes are at the minimum position.

The final length will be about 2 meters.

It should be a very fast shooter.

I plan on adding a trigger mechanism at the balance point.

I also need to design a locking mechanism that will keep the fork tube locked and aligned.

The Boynton Butterfly is a pure joy to shoot.

hum nice it probably packs allot of power but you need three hands to use it (one holding the middle one holding the trigger and one to reload) maybe if you rest the but on your shoulder wile you reload. and noticed the band kinda looked like it lost some of its elasticity i hope you haven't put that work into it you might need to make some improvements.

sorry if i seem harsh  .

and if you need a latch try these lever assisted latches. Plaes click me I'm so lonely

Only 2 hands at a time are needed.

The trigger itself will be located at the middle (right hand) handle using an extension.

Another handle (left hand) will be added up front for the grip.

The red TB tubing is just for design.

The final rubber has to stretch twice as long.

I should be able to go from half draw to full draw and shoot in under 5 seconds.

As for the latch, I am considering a spring loaded crutch pin into or out of a hole in the inner tube.

Fully extended:
