Looking good! :) I never really knew what the eclipse was until I saw this. I assume it has a piston valve inside?

Yes, it has a "positive force" piston valve that uses a larger surface area on the back piston to open the valve instead of bleeding out pressure behind it. Makes for fast cycle time and a safer system overall. The Mythbusters will have at least one show this year with the Eclipse. Filming with the first gen one didn't happen this week due to a change in the test parameters. The shot with the small tennis balls was done at the usual 300 psi but the vampire hunter round was launched at just under 800psi.

To clear some confusion, yes, I made the launcher and Jamie and Adam both have one. Adam has a first generation revolver and Jamie was the first customer for the new model.

There will be a segment airing in the next month or so with the Eclipse being used. I will post about it when I find out what episode.

Thanks for the reputation points, I never knew they even existed before... :)

Is there any chance we could get a look at the inside workings of this thing?

If its top secret I fully understand.

For me the Eclipse is pretty much the holy grail of handheld launchers. Truly inspiring.

Thanks for all the positive posts. Regarding the "Holy Grail" of launchers, our new mag fed has been called the 'Holy Grail' of less-lethal launchers. I will be posting some pics on Monday with any luck. Just fitting in some last second changes. As for Eclipse internals, there are a number of threads that show the internals of the first gen, but not as many for the second gen. The operation of the piston is identical except that we have a valve piston to firing piston ratio of 1.25:1.5 on the new launcher instead of 1:1.5 on the older model.

I will post as much info as I can in the next couple of weeks before our next big demos.

I understand 100%, but from past reading on this launcher, sonar has his own website selling them? figured I would give it a try here trying to find out if he still sells them.

Don't quote me on this but I think he has contrated with law enforcement because of what is said in the video about cops using them as non-leathel weapons. If he did he is probably contracted not to make them available to the public...Just a guess, I really don't know.
