Seems like you got off pretty well.
A good enough scare to keep you safe next time, no matter how rushed you are...and you get to keep all fingers and they still work!

get well soon and be more careful in the future!

My friend has a VERY similar scar from a VERY similar knife. He is a future bassoon major, and therefor requires precise movement of both thumbs.

Long story short, we were at a crappy party in someone's garage. It was a costume party, and someone had a (sharp) knife as part of the costume. Someone decided it would be fun to play fruit ninja. My friend threw the pizza, and someone else swung the knife and missed the pizza.

He reacted VERY differently from you. As soon as he saw it (down to the bone), he went into deep shock, yelled a lot, and threw up. His panic induced panic in everyone else, and they called 911. He ended up going to the hospital in an ambulance. I got to call his dad, (the employer of him, the cutter, and myself), and made the mistake of letting him talk to his girlfriend, who he freaked the hell out of.

After the bandage came off, we started joking about it, making comics etc.

Picture (quite bloody, during stitches)

Jake,
View your wound as a "Badge of Honor" or "Trial By Fire" kind of thing.

Edit: Sorry, Mr C

Sorry velocity, but can you upload it to a third-party image hosting site so it can be hidden behind a link?

If you're unsure of what hosting site to use, this topic might help:

Call of duty: Modern Spudfiles. Looks fun, what type of route did you go for it? Vortex?

It's a little co-axial cloud, but I'm probably going to upgrade to a vortex or a detent. Or both!

Just recieved my new barrel...

Not my usual compact work.

This one is thickwalled steel and has in I.D. of 6.4 inches..

The trick is to connect it to my 30 liter reservoir and somehow build a valve inbetween... :D

I'll sort it out..
