A gas bottle is large metal cylinder that contains gases at greater than atmospheric pressure. The exact pressure depends on the exact gas, tank, and how much the tank has been used since it's last fill, as well as temperature.
- High pressure source of gas
- Moderately portable
- Often contain gases other than air, with their own advantages and disadvantages.
- Limited supply
- Quite expensive
Gas bottles require careful handling (for example, pressurized tanks should NOT be dropped), and the use of appropriate pressure regulators. Bottled gas should never be directly connected to a launcher, as few materials are capable of holding the pressures the tanks can output.
Unless you are experienced, and have researched in depth, gas bottles are not usually recommended.
