Balanced Poppet Valve

I'm sure this information is on this sight somewhere I know BTB and Far_Cry have been successful but could someone give me a link to a diagram of a perfectly balanced poppet valve. I have a few idea's in mind. Also if the poppet we're perfectly balanced is it right that to an extent that no matter how high the pressure you will still just need to overcome the force of the return spring to open the poppet. Seems if this we're true major companies would be doing this due to the low amount of force needed to open the valve. Well i'm not sure if this is right. So any help that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. I am Also curious as to what everyone would think of this as a main valve on a semi-auto small caliber launcher.:?:

Thanks In Advance+-+-+-+-+Alpha

That format is wierd as hell. Did you do something wierd of is SF to blame? PM a mod is latter is the case.

I don't think there are balanced poppet valves
poppet itself is something like a piston in a QEV - it's just a piece of some material, usually rubber

I think what you you meant is a spool valve

What he means is a balanced pushbutton valve.

In short:
T piece, some fittings, two pistons on a rod, and a spring.

yeah I know but technically it's a spool valve

Once a valve is balanced it means it operates pressure independant
( apart from some increase in O-ring friction wich requires some lube to fix)

Yes, a balanced hammer valve ( can we please refer to it as BHV ?!?!) is essentially the same as a balanced push button valve or a balanced poppet valve..

Just like piston valves, there can be some difference in how it is set up.
Again we can make them chamber sealing or barrel sealing.

The push button valve was barrel sealing, if I were to flip the sealing face on the reg I made out of it, I'd get a chamber sealing one.

The latter is probably best as a main valve, the other one would be better or easier as an exhaust valve.
I think it;s great if people would start to use this principle more often as it is in many ways superior.
I don't have the time or tools ( yet) to massproduce them ..or else I would be throwing design after design at you guys.
The possibilities are endless.
I would also like to combine the valve with my snapvalve.Once you push it gently it will pop open like crazy..or..after exhausting...shut with a lot of force.
Enough to play around with ..

Also, in stead of just push-valves, the principle would aslo work with pull valves. The main thing is you have a sealing face, with a certain exposed cross section and a counter piston with the same diameter as the exposed surface.
They cancel each other out and only springforce is what keeps the valve closed.

I think he's talking about a pressure independent valve that will snap open like a piston valve. I am toying with some designs, but I will have to get aluminum and boring bars first...

you mean like this?
you also can use a blowgun backwards

iknowmy3tables, your design is cool, but if I'm not mistaken, that would tear up the o-rings pretty fast. Correct me if I'm wrong...

no, if you made a really sharp edge it would but control valves, blowguns, sleeve valves and many valves use sliding rubber seals that slide across gaps, so I'm afraid you are mistaken
I don't believe you have seen clide's guns and the o-ring work in his valves
also there is just no reason to depict how smooth the edges are in a simple diagrams
