hey, i just got a 200 psi air compressor and i want to build a pneumatic cannon...since my home depot wont sell pipe by the foot, i have to buy the whole 10 foot pipe

...since im not willing to spend more than $50 on my pneumatic cannon, im going to use the 8 feet of 4'' and 1 1/2'' pipe left over from my combustion cannon. since i dont know much about pneumatics, can someone give me plans for making a pneumatic cannon that uses 4'' and 1 1/2'' pipe? Im hope the valves and all of the connectors won't cost over $50.
Ty,

nabu if you haven't noticed people get pretty mad around here if you ask them for plans. instead just check out finished cannons and experiment, i mean, that's what puts the fun in the sport, right?

The only problems that ever seem to exist in pneumatics is the valve. So if you use a sprinkler valve and one side have the chamber and on the other have the barrel I dont think there should be a problem. You dont need plans for a simple pneumatic, rather a chamber, valve, barrel, air source, and a input valve. Dont get freaked out about it, just use your common sense/ reasoning in construction. Take me im not a wiz in anything really just the use of my common sense. In a basic pneumatic everything can be made using common sense, hence no need for plans! As always, Good Luck!

oh, so you connect the blow gun to the air compressor when you're done filling the tank?then wont the air from the tank come out of the adapter where you fill it?

look in the how to section for modding a sprinkler valve, you attach the blow gun to the sprinkler valve, when you pull the trigger, the sprinkler valve opens

so you use a splitter from your air compressor to the sprinkler valve and the tank, and 1st you fill up the tank, then trigger the blow gun on the valve?

what do you need a splitter for? fill up your chamber through a fill port(schraeder or QD) pull trigger on blow gun, air comes out blow gun opening sprinkler valve
go to the search, search sprinkler valve, read everything you find, if you still dont understand, then ask

Take C08's advice and read the sprinkler how-to post... The blow gun is there to vent the air from the back side of the diphram, so you dont want a compressed gas source on the back side. If your adjective was to make a gun similar to the one posted and use a push button to activate it, dont mod the valve.
