Question about psi ratings.
I was looking for the pressure rating of schedule 80 ratings and the numbers on spud files were in the thousands and I was wondering what the actual rating was? I also looked for the pressure rating of iron pipe was, but on mcmasters it was only 150 psi. Does anyone know the actual maximum psi. For the schedule 80 pvc can you use the regular pvc glue?

Schedule is only a wall thickness - NOT a pressure rating.
There's sch80 pipe that can hold 600psi and sch80 pipe that can't hold 200 psi (or shouldn't, anyway).
It needs to be NSF-PW or have a PSI rating marked on it, to be pressure rated.

It also varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, and obviously it varies between pipe sizes.
