I'm having trouble finding anything rubber that I can use in a pneumatic cannon. Does anyone know of anything I could strip it off of or where to buy it cheaply?

ya I am also in the process of making an izzy style barrel sealing tee valve and need some 3-ply 3/16" rubber and have no idea where to look. I was thinking to like triple up some of those circular rubber discs you can buy at the grocery store to help you open pickle jars... dont know if you know what I'm talking about but I'm sure that would work.

Mcmaster's isn't too bad as far as cost goes; ~6$ for more 3/16" neoprene than you'll ever use (a simplification, yes, but a square foot is quite a bit of neoprene)

If there is a pond - supply store near you, you should be able to buy some sheet there. They stock it as a pond liner. Not sure how much you would have to buy, but you could probably just ask for scraps. This isn't all that thick, but it seals fine.
