Harness the power of precision mixtures of pressurized flammable vapor. Safety first! These are advanced potato guns - not for the beginner.

OK, got some improvements! I mounted the cannon to a piece of 3/4" plywood, and got a better paint job for it. The gun is clamped to the board with those steel pipe brackets. It is extremely sturdy, and doesn't budge when firing. I still need a longer barrel, but I plan on getting one tomorrow or Sunday. I also recorded pictures of random crap that I shot up.
I also made a propane tank holder from 4" ABS, and ran the hose around the gun. I also clamped the hose down to keep it from flapping around.

- A side view. I also clamped the BBQ igniter wire inside the steel bracket to keep it from flying around and poking me.

- The hole left by a battery. It went through the motherboard, flew 20 feet, then went through my 1" wood fence, SIDEWAYS.

- Steel BB buckshot, tore through 3 soda cans in a row and all were embedded in my fence.

I think I need to cement my barrel onto the male adapter, it gets blasted off at 4x and above mixes now.

The inside of the barrel is also singed black, and gets orange-ish brown as it gets further. I've been shooting random stuff with batteries and ball bearings almost all morning, and I can send a ball bearing through over 2" of wood. All I need is a 20 foot barrel, and then I can have some supersonic fun!

Mopherman, this is the first one. I just redesigned it. The very first design had a tank that I would fill with a hybrid mixture, then hook up the the ignition chamber with an air chuck. The second design had a larger propane meter that kept the fuel from mixing, so it wouldn't work.
I really want to see if it'll shoot through 8" PVC, but I really don't feel like getting hit by a ricochet.

I have 20 feet of it. I was going to make a onster coaxial gun but the price would be a bit extreme.

It should break it. i was able to with a sprinkler valve marble cannon.

I'll try it some time, most likely. The gun can shoot through a sheet of 3/8" ABS with no problem.
Did your gun crack it, or put a hole in it, or shatter it, or what?

it put a hole with spiderweb cracks throughout the pipe. judging by the power of you gun and the time that pipe has spent out in the sun, it'l probly shatter.
Be safe though
theres pics half way down the page with rmich's gun

According to a GGDT estimate, the gun shoots at somewhere around 1450 fps, with an 8 gram ball bearing projectile.
Not sure how fast it shoots with batteries, but I shot one through a 40 page book, then it kept going and made a hole in my fence (1" plywood). The insane thing is, the battery was SIDEWAYS, leaving a rectangular hole! I'll see if I can get some damage pics up.

The original post now has damage, and new pictures of the gun! If you've seen it before, I assure you, it is NOT a waste of your time.

I don't think I'm going to make it hand held. I've gone through too much trouble too have it stop working because of having the volume of the meter changed by 1 mL or something like that. I'll make a tiny pistol hybrid at some point or something.
A 16 foot barrel will be made today, hopefully.
