Hey
I brought some pvc pipe which is one brand. I then got some more pvc fittings for that pipe from a different shop and they are a different brand. My concern is that is it safe to do this and use the same primer and glue for both brands and can i glue the 2 brands pipes together? They are all pressure rated parts of PN12 and up and all fit correctly into their respective sockets.
I know they are both PVC (polyvinyl chloride) but i know additives are needed to make pvc usable for these pipes. I'm not sure if they use different additives and if this means i must use different glue.
Thanks
PVC Brands
i have used different pipe with different manufactures. they are made to really high standards, so there is no reason why it shouldnt.

Just use normal primer and Cement but make sure you use the Green type and says type P on the side. The green type P is the most common type of pressure rated glue.
