I don't understand your question. What don't you understand thats keeping you from building? Try and be more detailed in your questions.

Omg that was what my first gun was. Use like a 11/2pvc tank with a sprinkler valve or a 3/4" ball valve. Use 1" pvc for a barrel cus i know cherry tomatos work good with it. pm me if u desperatly last hope need plans. try it on ur own

'bout as simple as it gets. And like gunner said, 1" PVC is good for cherry tomatoes.

Have you done any searching? Try and research some on the spudwiki there is lots of useful information. Sorry if that sounds a bit rude.

I agree with BigJon, he needs to have actually research. You cant go waltzin in and asking for plans. We are not in pre school and spoon fed everything. Im just saying you need to take the initiative to look because from what i see you have no knowledge of how a pneumatic works. So learn the basics by starting with the spudwiki.

Once you get a general idea, then if you have any questions that cant be answered searching, which is almost none, then i suggest ou make a post.

Once you have your layout, or however you want to build it, it is suggested to use a sprinkler valve. These can be modded for better performance.

Tapping, basically, means to cut threads.

Sprinkler valve vs. ball valve
Quite simply, the sprinkler valve opens faster, giving you more power. What you need to tap it (you are referring to the sprinkler valve right?). All you need is a drill with a half inch bit to drill a hole in the top. (check the how to section or the video here)
For supplies, it depends where you are. What country do you live in?

A hacksaw, a drill and bit, a tap, a flat file, a piece of sand paper 100 grit, a vise, and the most importent tool of all -- common sense!

Ma Shlamech?

I don't see why you'd need a pipe tap, if you're using PVC, the threads will pretty much carve themselves using steel fittings.

A pneumatic cannon is incredibly simple- Just two pipes with a 2:1 (or 1:1) volume ratio and a valve in between. There are some plans in the "cannons" section of this site, and a very good guide on modding a sprinkler valve in the how-to section.

I'm going to assume any tape used in a spudgun is Teflon tape, which helps seal the threads.
