umm I'm not sure on exact figures but at 110psi with a decent potato at least 200m. I can't see it leave the barrel and can only just see it at about 50 m out. I'm using my video cam for the pics, its a jvc everio gzm 505

Yeh the barrel knife wasn't measured exactly  I just started cutting with a hack saw. Its bevelled so its actually sharp, I rammed a massive potato too hard and gouged a chunk of skin out of my knuckle on it

The problem with the valve, pvc, was with they way I was filling it(not enough air flow to seal it). I fixed that problem by getting myself a big air compressor.

@ JSR: perhaps I should have painted it periwinkle blue?

Your cannon looks pretty good and powerful. It reminds me of a watermelon.

Here's a thought: You ever shot a melon with a real firearm? (the effects) You should shoot one with this beast and show us the affects.

If it was an exploding melon, then yes. Shoot it with something big and heavy.

your link took me to a page that said:

^ thanks jsr :D

hmm I just clicked it too and it gave the same msg, however it plays without any problems from my favourite list

I was thinking of a 150 grm spray can with frozen water as the ammo in question. It fits perfectly down the barrel. Look out for the dmg vid as I will compile an array of destruction  I've already got a 3ltr milk bottle getting pwnd by a lemon

Thanks for all the feed back

In your video, is that a .357mag?

Yeah, I don't know why but I got tickled at the DE video; that music with the melons going downhill is just classic.

if by my video you mean me shooting then no, I, sadly don't own a hand gun. its just a vid I found once. The gun is a S and W m500 to the best of my knowledge.

It's the intro to the classic 2001 A space odessy.
I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that
:D

The gun in the other video is this motherhugger with over 2,000 foot pounds behind its half-inch slug

It looks great, only thing I would change is to raise the support up a little so that there is less stress on the 90*'s.

I have to say that there is something deeply satisfying about watching watermelons exploding. Nice gun too; although I personally would call for a different support to make it look straighter.

the angle isnt that bad, its the angle I took it at. I was about 3m above it an about 1-2m behind it so it makes it look wierd in the pic. There isnt much stress on the joints. But thanks for the advice and feed back.
