i have finally got the parts to my hybrid just missing the propane meter. then i suddenly wanted a bb gun so (if it is safe) i will put a barrel on it for 6mm bb`s.

the camber is 8" of 2" steel pipe. it was designed to shoot marbles.
it will be posted when i get my meter

8" by 2" for bbs? I know it was made to shoot marbles, but in my opinion, thats a bit of overkill. At least you then won't have to worry about pressure dropping in the barrel. How long is your barrel going to be? You could go fairly long with that chamber, say 72". I must note one problem: If you are firing such a large chamber through a small-bore barrel, then the perssure in the barrel while firing will be quite high for a few moments, so be sure to use metal(like steel brakeline).

i was thinking of 6feet of copper pipe the 1/2" marble barrel is also copper and 6 feet long then i got a 1" 3 feet copper barrel. what i am scared about is the gasses from the chamber isn`t comming through the barrel fast enough. BTW it will be used on 4x

thanks for all help

Since the flow is choked, the gases will accelerate, and the hybrid C:Bs are probably more akin to those of pneumatics than those of combustion, because of the burst disk (if it is dont properly).

I don't really understand what the purpose of this thread is, but good luck on your hybrid.

TBH im not sure a chamber that large should be fit with such a small I.D barrel. The chamber will maintain the pressure spike for a longer time as its volume is too large to be vented quickly though a tiny bore. If your chamber is will be under stress for extended time periods with this setup, make sure your chamber is able to handle that.

I think for airsoft pellets you shoudl make a small chambered version, it will be mroe practical too.

use 1/8" ball valves into each side of a 1/8" Tee, with a pressure gauge hooked up to the last connection on the tee. then use a regulator (fairly accurate one).

My steel hybrid has a 2" x 11.5" chamber, and I use it for batteries and marbles, with a 1/2" Sch 40 PVC barrel. I also fire at 6x mixtures most of the time. I compensate for the large chamber by having a 20 foot long barrel. Your gun will work fine (that is, if it works), but it will be frickin' loud. You're definitely going to need earplugs.

Why not just make it a larger bore and use it like a shotgun by saboting a heap of bb's? And JSR are you a drug addict or something? With that amount of syringes Im a bit worried here :D
