Do I think a large potato gun will work?

Yes, it's been done before, and a lot larger than that as well. Size is not normally concern as to whether a launcher can work, just whether it can be be made. You might experience some problems if you get really large, but unless you go completely mad, and fail to follow sensible practise in construction, you should be able to get it to work.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

Read what you wrote to yourself, and see if it makes sense. It's not like taking an extra minute to type a coherent sentence is gonna waste that much time. :?

What he actually wrote was:
It's not like taking an extra minute to type a coherent sentence is gonna waste that much time.
...which makes the sentence perfectly coherent and grammatically correct, ignoring the use of "gonna" as opposed to "going to".

As to making a 7 foot long combustion, it's been done and generally, the bigger the better with regards to power and dramatic effect, so if you have the materials, go for it ;)

Try this: (And don't paraphrase someone to make an argument out of and then completely miss the whole point you're trying to get across which makes it very ironic.)
What the f*ck eddbot, what about when you wrote; "It's not like taking an extra minute to type a coherent sentence is gonna waste that much time."?

It should be "It's not like taking an extra minute to type a coherent sentence is going to waste that much time."
See the part where you completely missed the only grammatical mistake in his post and insert a word which makes his post confusing and directed at us and not you, because you paraphrased him instead of quoting the whole sentence?

From the American Heritage Dictionary:
gon·na (gŭn'ə) Pronunciation Key
Informal
Contraction of going to: We're gonna win today.

It was completely grammatically correct. Be sure you're right before you cuss out people who really are.

There's your problem ;) Just because you find a word in a dictionary, doesn't mean it's in the dictionary.

Could there every be a real "THE" Dictionary? Not everyone on the planet is going to agree on one single dictionary to be named THE Dictionary of the World. It just won't happen, so i used one that was mutually respected among many peoples on the planet. Don't get me into a debate, that will really pull this off topic. That's like bringing up religion
