Best Shot Contest Results
I just watched mtronic's vid, and it's awesome! He made the target look absolutely massive. Kind of interesting that the second camera filming my shot was in almost the exact same position as the one filming mtronic's shot. It was originally intended that the high quality vid camera I'd borrowed from my friend would record damage, while the other camera would record the muzzle blast and possibly catch the projectile in flight.

, and I ended up doing my best with the sh*t quality film from my $100 digicam...

Not like youtube would have done the good camera any justice though.Of course, things don't always go as planned, and I ended up doing my best with the sh*t quality film from my $100 digicam.
On an unrelated note, where do you keep getting all these doors?

I was wondering that myself to be honest, I'm starting to think DYI lives in a house with a lot of sack-cloth hanging around_Fnord wrote:where do you keep getting all these doors?

MrCrowleys vid got a lot of work put into it
This comp is going very well I like all the vids so far. 8)
Some of the canons ie FEAR own and I dont think its vid gives the canon the justice it deserves. All in all I wish all entrants the best of luck and keep the camera rollin'

I'm not sure if the poll is still open or not, but if it is then it shouldn't be. 7 days are up so I'm calling the final rankings. See the first post for the results.
Thanks again to everybody who entered and voted. I'll be sorting out the prizes ASAP.

Nice one mtronic. You had one hell of a shot there.

Yes, it does seem a good idea. A user-backed contest, (i.e. where one user makes up the rules, fronts ((most)) of the prizes, holds judging, etc.), seems like it should be the "norm" for now.
And good job mtronic. I still say the stereo should have rolled into the water, though.

Hmmm...Now if he could log on so we could get the prizes sorted out. Looks like he hasn't been on for almost 10 days
Anybody know if he is on vacation or something?

Well he made a comment in this thread 4 days ago, and one would think that even then he knew that he'd win. I wonder why he hasn't been on?
