Wierd Hobby
I just looked out my window at the cornfield across the street and a guy was para-glyding. At first I thought he was being pulled by a car, then I saw that he had a big fan strapped to his back, this actually keeps him in the air, at least 50 feet up. That's something I would like to try. Anyone ever hear of this before?

My friend Crieg's father had 1, he sold it after Grieg took it aprox. 1,000 feet over Prettyboy Dam here in northern Baltimore County, he said we looked like little Ants, that boy could not sit down for a week, he got the whippin of a life time!! Only after his dad hugged him and made sure he was allrite. The landing was rough, but ok for his 1st ride.

yeah I know what you mean, looks really fun. But if you do ever buy/build/rent one, remeber to fill the gas tank...and make sure all gas lines are protected, and the motor kept in tip-top shape, as this movie from Killsometime.com illustrates, when you lose power and its not windy, stuff happens http://www.killsometime.com/video/video.asp?ID=382
I would think that the wings would give a little more lift w/o the motor....not just drop like that
