Thats a hell of a test rig. Looks like a porcupine.

Interesting stuff. You can certainly see that the detonation is significantly more violent than the deflagration.

*edit: thats not just a test rig. It's a pulse detonation engine :shock:

It seemed that the first video wasn't operating at anywhere near a high enough frequency to generate useful thrust. But it was probably just tuned down somehow.
