I couldn't find a page in the spudwiki for common ammos. Sure would be nice to have a listing of masses, diameters, Cd etc. for common things.

So I started one here ...

Take a minute to check it out. Not so worried about the values and entries that are there so far. Mostly would like folks feedback on what columns the table should have since it is such a PITA to add and rearrange the columns later.

There is muchos info in the ammo thread and it's stickies. I'll go through a extract useful data once the basic structure of the tables is settled upon.

Feel free to add, correct, modify ...

It would be nice if someone could inform us with the mass of the spud projectiles.
I was always wondering what to enter on the mass field when GGDTing with a spud.

If someone would take the time to measure the average density I would appriciate that much :)

One suggestion would be to have a place to insert the best barrel options, eg: 1/4" brakeline for 6mm BBs, and 1.5" SDR pvc (?) for GBs

Well, I know a average paintball is .68" and weighs about 3.2g.

Marbles would be a good addition as well as 12g CO2 powerlets.

Benstein: good idea, I'll dig through that old spudtech post as well.

Psycix: I'll figure out approximate values for spuds (I've done it before), I was just working on the table layout and didn't want to stop to figure out what the parameters for various spuds should be.

Lentamentalisk: Good idea. Which would be better another column for barrel or just put it in the "Notes" column?

Can't remember exactly where I got it, probably on the Spudtech forums somewhere, but here is a file that has detailed information for for various sports balls and for some reason a rain drop.

Actually, that is my table from my "hangtime" page. Thanks though, it is always good to have multiple sets of eyes looking for info.

make a new column, notes should be filled with such stuff as to where you can get them easily and technical issues, such as stabilization etc.
also another column that would be nice, though difficult to fill out would be the drag coefficient.

1/4" brakeline isnt the best barrel option for 6mm BB's...

Brakeline is 6.35mm that is roughly 1/3 of a mm off... I mean im not a nazi about tollerences but thats a huge gap.. best bet obviously for 6mm BB's are tightbore barrels sold by DB customs or other companies such as systema, Madbull etc...

Another thing that bugs me is the label of 1.5" SDR pvc.. I have known a lot of people on this forum get confused because a GB is 1.68 inches while the label of 1.5" gets confusing... While I know that the SDR pvc barrel is not 1.5" it would be nice if it was refered to as 1.68 or heck ill let it go for 1.7" barrel...

The tighter the difference between the ammo and the barrel the better so lets try to point out that 1.5" SDR is not in fact 1.5" and point out there are better options than 1/4" brakeline.
