Im not sure about the pressures but they are special pnuematic compontents unless you have store that specializes in pneumatics you wont find one any where.

sorry for the double post...and I'm not trying to bump either, but I saw that someone made a QEV, or a piston valve, whatever it's called, out of some rubber gasket things, a bolt, and ring made out of tennis ball inside a copper tee....it seems simple to make, but I couldn't see the inside of the tee or what has to be done, can anyone explain the process? Someone told me that for a 1 inch barrel, it's better to have a sprinkler valve than to use a 3/4 inch qev...can't I get a 1 inch qev somewhere?

I have a 1/2" QEV (the same model as the on used here --> http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/dual-3- ... t4650.html)
and I use it at pressures above 300 psi without any porblems... some say that al-xg has used them at 800 psi but stay below 400 - 500 psi and you should be fine

they are the most common type of qevs in europe I think that you can order one from UK

so what's the problem? - order them from mcmaster - you can use them above their pressure rating - I am gueassing htey should be fine up to 300 psi
