I just want to start this off by saying I have no experience building stuff, so for me to actually have a working copper cannon is an accomplishment...now that I have it working, I want to make improvements, but I don't want to do anyhting that would set me back now that I have it working. SO, my question is this: how do I add a gauge to the cannon?

I also want to make a piston valve...but I have no idea how to start...I've seen the one thread that explains it to me how it works (knew that already) but it doesn't tell me how to make it, that is, what materials and how to put them together...remember, I'm new to all this and I'm not that good...

Have a browse through the Pneumatic Cannon Showcase, there are plenty of inspirational projects that you can copy as a first piston launcher.

I've never worked with copper before, so this is a shot in the dark, but is a male slip x femal thread bushing/adapter? You could add a tee to a section under pressure and solder in the bushing and thread in a guage. That is, if they even make the part

I'll never forget these words of advice from an older fellow at work: "if your imagination is big enough, you can machine the world"

Just go sit in the hardware store or whereever you get your parts and play with the parts. Test fit and fiddle and write suff down. See what you can come up with.

That's what I did with the (some of you may remember) Xmas presents I made for myself an Nic (the copper barrel sealing valve ones). I just sat on the floor in B&Q's and fiddled for about 2 hours till I found all that I wanted, got an awful lot of funny looks though. :D

Here is how you add a gauge it doesn't tell how. This is [insert name] cannon. just move the brass fitting around, it doesnt have to go where he put it.

(wow i stink at explaning stuff)
