this is the latest cannon i have made the barrel is 2 foot of stainless steel that fits marbles exactly and the pressure chamber is 2 inch pressure pipe. the piston itself is made out of 2 discs of aluminium and layers of rubber to seal against the barrel with.
the sprinkler valve i use to actuate the piston is a 1 inch one modded to be pneumatic with a tire valve glued into the top for filling.
the butt stock is removable to suit how its being fired also i have attached a laser pointer module onto the barrel to aid with accuracy.

i have tested it up to 70psi and its really powerful much more than any other gun i hav made the sprinkler valve vents the air extremely fast causing a very noticable recoil even when shooting a single marble
i am planning to paint the entire gun matte black or olive drab not sure which one at the moment.

i must say that this gun scares me alittle im not used to having such a powerful gun lol
i will post some damage pics after i hav had the chance to fully test it

feel free to leave any comments about it

Those are above average pictures of a nice bipod on a cleanly built gun.
Good job, I'm impressed.

Doesn't that hurt your ears? When I actually try to sight down the barrel of my co-axial, it vents right next to my ear. With yours it would rest in your shoulder and then vent upwards through the T. That's gottta be loud.
I've been thinking of making a silencer for the gun except I haven't had the time or money lately.

It's quite east to make an inline sprinkler muffler, either put foam inside of the PVC of make holes in the stock and putty the T so it doesn't flow out there...

My favorite part of this cannon is where you put your fill valve actually, I never though of that, that's a cool place, and a very nice coaxial :)

Nice launcher. Now im strongly considering yet another sniper rifle, after my last one looked fairly nice, but sucked ass. As BLB said, those stands and the guns in general are beyond clean. Im now browsing ebay for a scope, although it may serve no purpose other then that of asthetics.

About your modded sprinkler valves... Why are you venting out the soleniod port? That is only connected to the back of the diagram by a hole of only like a 1/16" diameter If you tapped into middle you would get a faster vent time and not vent some of the chamber pressure.

yeah the first time i shot it i almost deafened myself from it shooting air near my ear, so i put a 30 degree fitting then a end cap on the top of the tee plus i drilled several 1/4" holes along the bottom of the stock. its still loud but not deafening.

about the venting out of the solenoid port, i drilled several 3/32" holes through the soleniod body to improve the the flow to the blow gun. it should be just as effective because the flow through those blow guns isn't all that great anyway.
i just find it looks abit neater and i can make up the special fittings at work to attach the blow gun to the sprinkler valve

just drilled a hole in the bottom and put the valve in, its in the part of the sprinkler valve that connects to the pressure chamber so that part of the sprinkler valve is technically part of the pressure chamber too so u can put the tyre valve there

yeah but that valve isnt threaded...so you had to have put it through the hole from inside the sprinkler, you cant just stick it through the hole in the bottom or it would just pop right out wouldnt it? and thats one of the best looking guns i have seen.
