First Spud Gun
So this is my first cannon and so far i have dwv pvc pipe its starts of from the back with a 90mm screw on cap then a 90mm 1meter dwv pipe the a 90-50mm adaptor then a 50mm 1 meter long barrel i havent got a sparker yet but was wondering wether this would hole up. I have decided im going to drill a hole in the end cap and put a long nose candle lighter in it and silicone it up and use that would this be feaseable

Well one of my friends made a cannon like that except he didnt silcon it in,he just held it in tightly and it worked fine. And the chamber will only need to be about 40cm long, that is a little overkill with 1 meter of 90mm pipe for the chamber.

The dvw is fine, but with that large chamber there wont be any advantages the ratio is way out of wack the onlny thing you are going to be doing is wasting alot of eneergy that could be harnest so if you are going to use 1 meter of 90mm pipe for the chamber then make your barrel atleast 1.5-2 meters of 50mm pipe. With a combustion the bigger chamber doesnt do anything unless you equal it out wiht a bigger barrel.

That ignitor in the cap will come back and bite you in the ass. Don't use those long-nosed things because the burning gasses will shoot out from around it (it will eat the silicone) and burn your hand. Use a BBQ sparker like you see mounted to grills. Install one of those into a nice handle and you got yourself a good cannon.
