i have 2 1/2" pvc and im in canada, only problem is that there are no fittings sold anywhere for it lol

Could I suggest just trying to make a piston valve.
Your ball valve will only succeed in disappointing you - you'd probably be able to get a tennis ball further using .... er.....a tennis raquet.
Even a ghetto piston will perform better than a ball valve.
I struggled a bit with my first, but now I'll never go back...

Okay, but the only thing is that I changed my design, and I am using a sprinkler valve now.
What a waste of 300 spud bux.
