I bought this air cylinder for 20 bucks a while ago just cuz I thought it was cool I am wondering what mayhem I can cause with it. It has 1/2'' threads on the side with the rod it can screw into a 1/2''-3/4'' bushing.
Any Ideas?

I assume it's the FDA model, with the 20mm bore and the 150mm stroke?
You didn't take a very good picture of the model number, so I'm guessing a little here.
150mm stroke is a bit more than you might find useful. If it were shorter, I might suggest using it like Neospud has on some of his semis, particularly something like the Cylbolt
However, my suggestion for a long-ish stroke cylinder is using it to do something like set the draw string on a homemade crossbow... perhaps not quite as mad as the Van Helsing one (although I do have plans for one of those...)
I don't see how using it as a valve would be practical, although if you have an idea, please share it.

I'd use it as part of a psuedo-blow back valve gun.
