Here's another idea for pallets. If there is an area where there is a bit of a hill going down, dig about 2' into the ground. Use this spot as the front end, and continue backwards so you're almost digging into the hill for about 8'. Then, use pallets and sandbags to build up a wall about 6' high, 4' above ground at the front. Add a roof, and put the door/entry way into the back. Paint it concrete grey, and you have the classic German pillbox.
@judgement: I freaking love shoot-house stages, they're so much fun. Although, they get loud as hell when the guys are using AR's with muzzle breaks. Most of our shoot houses at the different ranges me and my dad go to are made of just standard barricades arranged into a hallway/small house layout. But theres a shoot house down in San Antonio at the Blackhawk range that has about 2 sliders that can be activated by the first door, and the second door can activate a charger on a zipline. It was one of the best stages at the Texas Multi-Club Regional. BTW, I worked bay 4 as a scorekeeper.

Progress has been going slower than what I'd hoped for, but, as of now, I have the following types of bunkers:
Hardware cloth bunkers: These are neat because they do not allow paintballs to penetrate, but does allow spatter, which means grenades can score an elimination.
A hedgehog (made from 2x4s): I only have one so far because I ran out of wood.
A rotating bunker: Good for shooting at any angle.
Solid bunkers
Fallaway bunkers: These allow the opposing team to knock the bunkers down.
All bunkers are portable. I've yet to dig any foxholes.
I got a pillbox type base on one side. It's dug out about 2 feet and has 3 foot high walls with sliding windows.

wow, despite what you say, it sounds like you have made progress.
I would love to see some pictures of these bunkers though, some of them sound really kewl and I don't think I have seen them before.
Oh, and i have another idea for possible salvaged-bunker (if it hasn't already been mentioned):
5-gallon bucket pyramids

I like it! It reminds me of when me and my friends were saving every scrap of cardboard we could find so we could have tiny bunkers and shields to use in our little airsoft fights.STHORNE wrote:5-gallon bucket pyramids

I'd like to see someone try to hide from an eclipse behind one of those.

If I had the buckets, I would definitely do this. It is actually a type of bunker I'm looking for (reusable shootaway bunker). If you shoot it enough, it would eventually fall.
Oh, and SEAKING9006, you shouldn't need to hide behind anything with an eclipse being shot at you
joke

you can buy buckets at fleet farm for a couple bucks each. And if you are worried about the pyramid falling apart, you could always put dirt in them and put the lid on it.

Front of a bunker. Equipped with sliding windows.

Back of the bunker.

Pallet wrapped with hardware cloth.

2x4 "hedgehog".

Rotating bunker. The pallet spins on the T-post.
