I found this link where this guy is making a paintball gun,there is one thing that is confusing me though,what is that electric circuit he is using to control his system and how is it working?

I got no idea,i'm to lazy to read the whole article it would probably explaine but i did see the words 555 timer so maybe its a timer for the release for the co2 so it doesnt always just vent.

yes, it is a 555 timer circut to control the valve.

It didnt work, the guy stated it didnt on paintball nation, the valve and whatnot or something didnt work, and it only shoots like 5-10 feet.

this is kinda on topic. can anyone here explain to me how the valve on a Tippmann 98C works, i cant figure it out and ive been thinking about trying to make a paintball gun myself and would like to use that kinda valve once i understand how it works. Thanks.
