Sounds like an even crappier version of a chainsword which is somehow a chainsaw in (you guessed it) a sword.
Would be nice to have, looks like they manage to work without a hefty chain drive system and manage to carve things up while still being held in one hand.

sorry that was a joke... it won't make much sense IMO.... but you can try building it if you want to.....consider building a chainknife

Personally I cant see much point in it, its only real use would be for stabbing people, unless you wanted to use it in the kitchen for making soup

It would actually be pretty cool to be in the kitchen cutting up everything you need for your soup, then flicking a button on the knife and it spinning around rapidly, and blending all your ingredients together

Wow, that's a really good idea. It could be used tactically really well. Too bad the SEALs, etc. couldn't use it.
