Ok, now i just took an attempt at building a combustion... long story short it just ended with me having my hairline cut back half an inch... (no im not stupid , im not messing with fire it was a total accident) Basically... i have one of these igniters that have the big half inch by 1 inch red button on top of them, and wanted to know how exactly i mount it into the gun and set it up. I havent seen anywhere how to do this yet i checked the how to section unless i missed it. In that video where that irresponsible kid names Scott vanpala (the one that gort posted) is shooting at a window with his, i want to copy the exact shape and design of his. So basically this design if u didnt see the video... http://hight3ch.com/post/potato-gun-or-potato-bazooka/
the same exact design, i see where he put it but i have no idea how to wire things on the inside. thanks in advance sorry if this is posted somewhere.

that video has been recieveing a lot of publicity lately, with google alerts and such, but it is a bad example of a potato gun
you DO NOT want to mount the igniter directly onto the gun. you should drill two very small holes in your chamber, put two long screws or bolts in the two holes, make sure the distance between the tips are 3/8 inch wire the screws or bolts to your ignitor, and seal the two holes the screws or bolts are in so they wont leak.

so is this basically correct then? Also... how do i get the electrodes to not spark one another outside of the chamber at the screw heads? do i just put elec tape over them? And lastly... where do i put the actual ignitor button... Is there a way to not permanently but securely mount it to the gun?

Or hose clamps.
thanks guys really appreciate it. Also is the ratios of a 2 inch chamber and a 1.5 inch barrel doable? By the way any suggestions on what to use to raise the ignitor switch up with so its able to be pressed while holding the gun? like not mount it touching the gun but like put it on something...

try a 4in chamber and a 1.5in barrel. But its all up to you.
I just took a block of wood that fit my hand, and drilled a hole in it to fit the sparker in, then stap the block of wood on the gun with anything you want.

ok like half or 3/4 of the way up the chamber (from the endcap) attach some kind of handle. now the part behind the handle (from the handle to the endcap) you can put on your shoulder. place the bbq ignitor on the handle so you can easily press it with your finger while the gun is on your shoulder and you are holding the handle.
