that "pops" on impact
cheap
or reuseable i am thinking of suger or salt to fly out of it when it lands need to fit in 2 inch barrel any tips sites ideas any thing will be use ful

I think your refering to something that will make a mark when it hits like talc powder dispursing on impack.

3 Discussion of solid propellants, explosive devices or incendiary projectiles fired specifically from a spud cannon is prohibited, and may result in a permanent banning of your account.For the purpose of this forum, these definitions will be used:

I'm a little worried by this - mostly when I see points like this popping up, there's a fairly high hit rate of someone planning to use them against people, a little like a version of paintball.

However, on the off chance that's not the case, I suggest the crude solution of filling a balloon with flour. If it's fast enough, and the target is hard enough, then it should create a nice cloud of smoke on impact.

Just DON'T use them against any person.

I know this isn't a rules discussion thread, but that's a very ambigous point.

A regular spudgun tends to release hundreds of joules in a dozen milliseconds or so.
A car engine can chuck out hundreds of thousands of joules in a second.

Both fit that loose description to a T, but obviously neither of those is against forum rules.

i though might be cool to hit the dumpster down the road with something to make a mark or cloud add an item like surge salt sand then add that one stuff that glows in the dark watch a big glowing cloud come from no where
i was thinking pvc tube but i dont know how to make it let go of the "items"

Well, Rag just gave you a grand idea- flour. Mix the contents of a glowstick in there and you're in business.

I'd say load it with paint, but I don't encourage vandalisim.

what i am looking for is how to make a case that will exspell the contents
of the case
like
one inch pvc pipe
end caps
find a way to have it blow apart so that the surges go every where

maybe use a thin schedule 1" pvc so it will break on impact. Or find a different tubing that will fit your barrel but is durable enough to hold being shot but not being hit against a wall. Dry dirt/dust might make a good "poof" to whatever you're shooting against, and it's free.

No, it's not cool to hit the dumpster down the road. Someone or some entity owns that dumpster. This is the kind of thing that gives spudding and youth a bad name.

Also, work on your sorry spelling and sentence structure.

What tools can you acces? Maybe you could make some kind of shot gun shell that opens on impact... Glass could be great but thats dangerous... How about you use ice? Or maybe sugar glass it would be a great thing, glass like but without the danger.
