I know this isn't really a theory because it has been done before, but I drew a really fancy picture of it that's almost %100 symetrical so you can help me out :D

I know I didn't draw the pilot or equalization hole...

Where can I get the diaphragm material?
What should I use as the equalization hole? A check valve?
How much better could this be than a sprinkler valve?
What size Tee, Elbow, and Pipe would this work with?
Would a chamber sealing Tee or barrel sealing Tee be better in most cases?
To make it a chamber sealing Tee do I just have to switch the pipe end to the chamber instead of the barrel?

http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=257&

Neoprene Washers (Automotive), I found silicone in a tube that goes into a caulk gun that can be molded into any shape and is rubbery.

Put a really tiny hole in the diaphraghm.

It's the exact same thing as a sprinkler valve, it's just that this can be built bigger.

I've heard with 3" Tee's, anything 1.5" or lower will fit.

Barrel-Sealing, the air would have less "Dead Air Space" to travel through.

Yes.

Thanks a lot, their was this one web page though that sold diaphragms...

By Neopreme washers do you mean use a neopreme\bolt\washer piston in the top half of the Tee instead of diaphragm?

Or do you mean to put a peice of neopreme across the hole, a diaphragm\piston was the only part I don't know how to make inside of these valves...

You'd be better of making a piston, they're simpler. The neorpene could be used for the diaphrahgm.

Diaphragms only have to be thick rubber, like 1/8" thick. That valve is exactly the same as the how-to that I wrote on making your own sprinkler valves. :D

No yours cost wayyyyy more.... Brass fittings are a rip off and they don't sell brass 90's in much places and the prices of it all have gone up...

Your's is bassically the same though, mine works with a 3" tee with 1" fittings though, while yours is 1"

Yeah you could make a valve as big as you want. I could use an 8" T with 4" pipes in it if I wanted to go broke.

Wow an 8" Tee cost about $80-$100! I'd go with something smaller. Lol!

I went to Lowes for no reason today and found out what fits in what

<img src="http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/2669/teefits9zl.png">

I still don't know how to make a piston. Using Caps and stuff for the piston wont work because then you won't be able to cap the top of the T, can someone explaint how to make a piston\diphragm for one of these...

For a diaphragm, just cut a circular piece of thick rubber the size of the top socket of the T. Don't make it too thin or it will bust like one of mine did though.
