How do you think carbon fiber would do in a combustion chamber? I'm planning on using a thin strip of it for the backing of a spark strip. Would it warp or bend from the heat?

Check Wikipedia, I'm sure it'll tell you.

Carbon fiber is electrically conductive so if you are looking for an insulating backing material for your spark gap conductors, carbon fiber isn't going to work.
It would otherwise be plenty strong and thermally resilient.
