What to do with hydrogen

I built a reliable hydrogen generator which makes fair amounts of gas quickly and cheeply(though some problems have been encountered, like keeping a solution around 80°C) but now i am unsure of what to do with the gas. Should i built a oxy hydrogen torch, a furnace, or just have fun, any ideas for you guys? I know that all of you will have some idea, and being here for a while i know i will like most of your ideas.
And if you want to know my meathod of making the hydrogen(i cannot be bothered with electrolosis) ask and i will make a little write up with pics for you(that is if oyu need more details than the following one sentance explaination). Really it uses a reaction between sodium carbonate solution and aluminium.

I did light strings dipped in gasoline and tied to baloons of h2 let go at night and watched but i have better things todo with my precious gas.
Oh and that was a very fast reply JSR!

Not at the moment, i would make one but i am out of baloons. I will make one if i get the chance to again. Do you think the idea of a oxy hydro torch is a good one?

A torch is nice. Small flame, but very hot. I suggest a bike needle with the end cut off as a tip. Pinch it to "tune" it to the gas flow.
Incorporate lots of saftey features.
I used a couple:
1) water block. This is coils of tube, with some water at the bottom, so the gas bubbles past it.
2)A pressure release valve
3)1 or 2 flash back arrestors. I used foam, but filters from cigarettes are supposed to work very good. There are also commercial ones.

First thing would be to use it in a pneumatic cannon to break the sound barrier.
\Or at least to show the difference between H2 and air

Fuel your car with it!

That burns with the wrong color flame for hydrogen (not that vid..but in general). Hydrogen is rather hard to see while burning, it's the ingredients that basically form rocket fuel used to cover the skin that did that.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:How much have you got?

Ok, hydrogen torch it is, any one know how much H2 (aprox.) i would need to generate per hour inorder to sustain this torch with a good amount gas? Also i am still happy for more recomendations, a ballon is filling right now(it would be done in a min but i am too lazy to heat the solution up) Oh and last question: what chemical am i generating(find ?)
Na2CO3+Al+Al2O3+H2O=> H2+?
(i listed all chemicals involed in this reaction, perhaps some ave nothign todo with the process its self, if so please tell me which)

I could be wrong, but I think (not balanced):
H2O+Al=Al2O3+H2
The Na2CO3 is just to dissolve the oxide coating that forms on the surface of the Al foil.
combine with a chlorate candle, and you have youself a portable oxy-hydrogen torch.
