I'm in the middle of making my 1 1/4 coaxail pneumatic and im struggling to mount the barrel in side the chamber were the piston seals because it just flops down. I'm thinking of using sqaure dowl or rolled up tape.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Are you saying that your barrel is drooping inside the chamber?
If so, just make a small "cross hairs" design... I don't know how to explain it without a picture so just wait like two minutes and I'll add it to my post.

I used pieces of fittings.

You can get just the offset adapter kit for $90

You could use the fan mount to support the rear of the barrel and to prevent the piston from cocking... Never tried it though.

On my Mouse Musket I looked for a simple and cheap way to do it. I didn't get a photo. I took some Polyethylene tubing like they use to connect ice makers and cut 3 pieces an inch long. Mid length I drilled holes crossways through it and simply zip tied it to the barrel about 6 inches from the breech. they compressed slightly going inside the chamber. No worries about breaking, corrosion, etc.
EDIT Added modified drawing to show tubing spacers with zip tie.

I just used pieces of thick aluminum pipe (very thick), cut them into sections and epoxied them on in a radiation shape. Then I held the barrel and rotated it over a belt sander (don't stop moving it, keep at a constant speed) until it fit perfectly.

That's a pretty decent idea ino, well thought out.inonickname wrote:I just used pieces of thick aluminum pipe (very thick), cut them into sections and epoxied them on in a radiation shape.
