Show us your pneumatic spud gun! Discuss pneumatic (compressed gas) powered potato guns and related accessories. Valve types, actuation, pipe, materials, fittings, compressors, safety, gas choices, and more.
I am new here and I would like to show my first cannon. The barrel is 2" and a unmodded sprinkler valve with a safety. I normally launch it at 170psi. Most common ammo that I use for it is potatoes and pvc pipe with rubber heads. I have cleared my entire block but got yelled at by my neighbor. Now no more launching down my street

Ball valves aren't used on high powered/high end cannons. While they have excellent flow (basically 100% of the thread size), are easily obtainable, are simple to incorporate into a cannon and are cheap they have poor opening times.
You will notice improved performance by:
a) using a valve that doesn't constrict the flow
b) using a faster valve (sprinkler valve/diaphragm valve, QEV/piston valve, burst disk et cetera)
Though pretty nice! It doesn't look like you have unrated fittings on there and it's all done very cleanly! I'm sure it's just fine to plink with.
Perhaps a shoulder strap could be helpful?
