The hand also shakes when you stabilize the wrist, the whole arm isn't steady. Also, after the shot is released the hand moves as the force is off the weapon.

My slomo studies show that this motion changes very little. Heavy balls are slow but steady and once they are set in motion, they fly straight.

OK I laughed for about a day and then repeated "God bless America" about 500 times.

I have a pair of Slingshots, one large Bushmaster wrist rocket with a built in ammo chamber and a fiber-optic sight, the only problem is that the bands wear out VERY fast. My other one is a regular slingshot with swing arms that keep the rubber band good for a LONG time. Ive probobly taken over 5000 shots on the same band and it's still good. I also have a homemade sling, not to be confused with a slingshot. It is like the thing the Israelite David supposedly used to kill the Philistine (I belive)giant Goliath. All it is is a leather pouch with 2 long strings off both ends. You just put a rock from the size of a pebble to the size of your fist and whip it up like you're pitching a softball (underhand). It goes about 60-70 yards, and I'm sure if I had a lead slug of really good projectile and a longer sling I could get it 100 yards. Anyway, im rambling again....

Also It'd be cool to see Brian the brain's crossbow contraption come to life.
Summer holiday as of tomorrow...
I've been spending these last few days on Sawed-off mark III

I am gathering parts for the pulley gun though..

Slingshots are legal here for recreational purposes, and things such as baitcasting.

However, braces are a little out of the legal side of things. Fortunately, the only punishment is usually confiscation and at the worst a small fine. (considering I'm 15..).

About to go strike some arcs.

By the way, quick question:
I'm using anyhydrous ethanol (98%) to soften the tubes, then push them onto the rods. The rods are at a right angle to the pouch. The ends of the forks are polished and smooth, with no imperfections.
Will it be ok, or will I have to add rods to set the forks up as inline?

I eagerly await your pulley gun.

BTW After a certain power level, a hand held slingshot becomes very difficult to draw and to shoot accurately.

A gun with a smooth trigger becomes necessary to take it to the next level.

You're 15 and you know words like "anyhydrous ethanol"? And you love weapons? Boy, you have some career ahead of you. Don't turn to the dark side, please!

Even I can construct deadly weapons and at 15, I would have said "I use the stuff my old man starts the BBQ with".

Maybe you should spend a year with Stu in Florida, for an apprenticeship.

Yep..It's anylitical grade, and lives next to the 70% HF, sulfuric and HNO3.. Excellent for BP slurry + cleaning during synthesis.

I'm also into pyrotechnics and chemistry :o

At the moment I'm just installing some stuff so I can get the images, then I'll upload them. I've snapped two pairs of bands so I'm going to have to do some more polishing. (one set of tube for speargun/one flat latex exercise set..)

Edit:
100% MIG welded stainless steel..No pouch or tubes at the moment (broken).. got to make new ones.
