um... read... http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=231
and if you dont know how it work you really shouldnt make/use one, learn some more then try it.

as you can see from what happened to lucky's gun they are VERY dangerous, luckily only the union blew, and he wasnt hurt when it did blow, fuzzyscorpion's entire hybrid exploded on him. you really need to know how to do EVERYTHING properly, and you need to understand EVERYTING about them, to quote boogie "If you mess up on a combustion or a pneumatic, you are out a few dollars. If you mess up on a hybrid, you are dead"

im thinking of a mini hybrid
1 1\2" chamber and 3\4" barrell any ideas
also would class 18 be good for a hybrid ive heard of people using class 12 (sch 40) and it blew up but that was a 4 or 5x mix and the only barrell unions avaliable here are class 12 (sch 40)

barrels are alright to be sch40, but whatever your version of sch80 is you should use for your hybrid. check out the spudtech forums, DR has been doing research on what C:B ratios are best for hybrids, and lucky 13 and Jspellman have used cam-lock fittings instead of unions (sch80 unions can, and have blown)

i read that the pressure in the chamber before it is ignited excedes 300 psi. how does that happen without the spud or what ever was loaded in the barrel comming out brfore it reaches pressure?

What? Pressures CAN exceed over 300 AFTER ignition. 300 psi would be like a 30x mix which would blow any launcher to crap with a crapload of shrapnel.
It's held back by a burst disk.
Aaron12345, if you can, use copper, it can hold a lot more pressure.
Oh and for everyone who's unsure what DDT is, it stands for Deflagration ro Detonation Transition, the point at where a perfectly stoichiometric mix goes from deflagrating (steadily combutsting) to detonating (need I say more?) It's something you wouldn't want to experience.

Read all of galfisk's posts in that topic, he gives a more than thourough explanation. Hope it helps you understand, I had no clue how it worked when I first saw it ad I still can't figure it out.
