Carpet is relatively wimpy. I was able to shoot a t shirt through 2 layers of carpet. The 1 inch plywood is impressive. Good job.Northir wrote: i can get it to shoot through 4 layers of carpet and 1" plywood,

Impressive shots in the vids,
(no sound on computer last night)
I can really see the advantage of piston valve over sprinkler valve.
Is the new piston much lighter than the wooden one?? 8)

Boom headshot
well Epoxy pistons work well, maybe to well, heres the damage shots for the new piston . . .

hmm somethin might be wrong. .

the piston shot back with about as much force as the golf ball ripping the back of the housing off with it, so how do i repair that, i was thinking just grinding the female coupler off and attaching a new one, and yes i had padding
gotta have it back up and running by saturday night so i think i have time, just not any more material

You need to make that piston lighter!
What is the total weight?
You will also need more "cushion".
I am guessing the epoxy version is a lot heavier than UHMW or HDPE equivalent.

yeah check out mine http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/2-inch- ... 17878.html i had the exact same thing happen so i shortened the piston cut off the threaded part of the female coupler and used screws to hold in an o-ringed 1 1/4 inch coupling
p.s.: i used solid pvc rod for the piston so it should handle an epoxy piston no problem
