can i just screw the fitting into where the solinoid was here is a picture

Fill the hole w/ epoxy and tap to the side..... or, fill the little exaust hole that goes out from that little solinoid port then put a nipple strait in there.

Im probably just an idiot, but when ever i tried using a solenoid(non-modded) it would only let some of the air out so i would get a wierd humming noise as air slowly passed through, i had the direction right, and it was on full open
You can't use an unmodded sprinkler most of the time, it just honks because the pilot isn't big enough... air is light, water has mass, so the water doesn't need a big pilot because the mass of it keeps the diaphragm up...
and irwinner...

that's for the model you have... You don't need the ball valve though, or the epoxy in the middle really...
I'd just tap the middle with a 1/4" NPT-18 tap and then tripple teflon wrap a 1/4" nipple...
You do need to epoxy the bleed screw though...

I would say it is, I don't know what else you would need a blowgun and a ball valve for.

lol, i just finished reading the article it says...
"Some of you may be wondering what the purpose of the ball valve is. It is the safety. When the ball valve is closed the gun will not fire even if the trigger (blowgun) is pulled. Open the ball valve and the gun is ready to fire."

Whats the little black screw thing called? I know its just a manual way of opening the valve, but anyway. I modded a few RainBirds by drilling it out to 1/2 and tapping 1/4NPT. Works pretty well actually. I'm not sure if that would be an option for you or not.
