I would like to place a glass marble into a wax mold to fit the barrel.
Are there some time and labor saving methods that you have discovered?
Mold release?
Wax melting and pouring hints, etc.?
I would like them to look like these molded by hyldgaard:

US Composites sells a few kinds (link)
First make a master copy, gluing it to an acrylic base like in the video. Then using a paper cup to make the barrier around the pattern.
Or making something like this?(waxmold.JPG) Noticed the marble is resting on a taper as to center it, then the wax encapsulates the ball during the pour. You could machine that taper in the bottom or simply hand form a piece of clay to fit into your barrel mold.
Also mold release will probably have to be used. I know you can get by without it sometimes.
