Big block of pvc

Does any one know where I can get a solid block of PCV that is 4"X4"X6"? I came up with an idea for a breach loading cannon that would use a block of pvc to from the breach.
The idea is to have two 4"x4"x6" blocks of pvc that are hinged at the bottom and that have a latch on the top. The barrel would be in two pieces. One piece of barrel in a hole drilled in each block of pvc. The mating suraces would be gasketed to from a tight seal. I would likley have to have the block sent to a machine shop to have the hole put though it that is the same size as the outer diamiter as the pipe.

You might be able to find something like 3/4" x 4" x 10' stock at the local hardware store since it is sometime used for exterior moldings. Gluing up thinner stock might also be cheaper.

Yeah you might try cutting up a big piece of pipe, flattening the sections, and stacking them into a big block using glue or epoxy. But then I wouldn't really recommend using that as the basis for a pressure vessel.

Use a picture hosting website like www.photobucket.com then use the provided direct link in between the "IMG" tag.

Well although i realize that you are trying to be revolutionary, dont expect it to be cheap. I do look forward to seeing this though. But could you use metal instead?

Spudfiles works fine with the .jpg format. The file size must be under 350K in size. I edit my photos to 800X600 or 600X480. These sizes often work fine. BMP photos are not accepted. Save it as a JPG or GIF. If you read the info when adding a reply or editing you post the link under Add an Attachment that says Allowed Extensions and Sizes pretty much lists what can be uploaded.
