STORY:
One day i was messing around with this car i made. It had a 3v motor on it. I though "hey that motor is pretty weak." so i went to my shop and got a 14.4v drill battery and went back to my car. I wired it up and turned on the power. The motor Jumped and lit up. I looked at it, no major burn or anything. After that i just finally figured out looking back at that moment "that would be a good combustion igniter" so i did the similar rig and look at the sparks then determined that it would be a good igniter.
Theory:
A 3v motor will light up big time when the power going towards it is quadrupled. So, If you put some holes in the casing of the motor the fuel of a combustion cannon will get ignited. So theres a new option for a combustions sparker.
(i haven't seen this method used yet so i posted it here, tell me if you've seen it.)

Besides, Tasers and BBQ sparkers are much easier to implement. Heck, even a camera flash unit would be easier and more consistent than a motor.

The problem is, especially when using it as a sparker, the brushes inside the motor will eventually get fouled up, preventing ignition, and leaving you with a loaded cannon, wondering why it didn't go off. True true again. The motor was crap so i didnt care. but ur right. thinking about it. it would only be a igniter for a short time.
